The story behind my gifting business — and how it helps companies curate the dreamiest corporate gifts...

If you’ve been following me for a while, you might already know about my first job experience as a fresher.
While all my batchmates were sharing their aesthetic onboarding kits — filled with new laptops, personalized stationery, and thoughtful desk essentials — I was excited for mine too. I didn’t care much about the brand or size of the company. I just expected to feel welcomed.
But when I joined, all I received was a used laptop (which was totally fine) — and nothing else. No onboarding kit. No note. No experience. It was awkward, forgettable, and honestly… hard to even talk about, let alone post proudly on LinkedIn. How could I post my new job role without a nice aesthetic picture of the imaginary onboarding kit I had dreamt of, all this while?
That moment stuck with me.
Over the years and a few more jobs later, I noticed a pattern. The lack of a meaningful onboarding experience always left me wondering —
Does this company actually value me? Will I just be another employee number? Or will the work I do truly matter here?
It’s in those quiet moments — feeling unseen — that the seed for Boxedd Co. was planted.
If I never got the welcome I hoped for, maybe I could create it for someone else.
And so, I began curating onboarding kits that I would’ve wanted to receive —
Thoughtful. Personal. Inspiring.
Not just filled with things, but filled with intention.
Because the first day at work isn’t just about a desk or device.
It’s about the culture you step into. The message you’re sent.
And the memory that stays with you forever.
Today, through Boxeddco, I help companies give their employees and clients the kind of welcome that makes them feel seen, valued, and excited — right from Day One.
